  1. Thanks Lomabard.

I've been to about 6 different Japanese magazine stores and none of them sell gaming magazines. Unfortunately I don't think I can get Famitsu here.

So, garaph has posted all the monthly and weekly top 5 from the launch to 15 september 2008, except the ones from 15 january to 15 february 2006.
Between 15 september and 15 october 2008, we have the monthly 10 from crho. For 15 july 2009 to 15 august 2009, moor angol has all the data, but not me.
If you are able to find the missed data, it will be intersting."

So I've just ordered Famitsu Xbox 360 [February 2009] from Play Asia as it was discounted to $6 and they ship free within Asia. I also ordered Famitsu DS + Wii [March 2009] as it was discounted to $8, but I don't know if they have Nintendo charts or not, I guess I'll find out soon.

Unfortunately they have no back issues of Famitsu PSP + PS3 in stock, and January issue isn't available to preorder, although February issue is.

All the monthly Famitsu magazines are $12, which is too much for me to buy all three regularly just for the charts alone, but maybe I'll start buying Famitsu PSP + PS3 from next month and post the charts here. Maybe moor angol will be willing to share the Xbox charts in exchange for the Playstation ones.

So the Famitsu Xbox 360 magazine issues you are missing data for:

Sep 2009 (moor angol has this)
Aug 2009 (available from Play Asia for $12)
Jul 2009 (available from Play Asia for $12)
Jun 2009 (available from Play Asia for $12)
    May 2009
    Apr 2009
    Mar 2009
Feb 2009 (I will post this soon)
    Jan 2009
    Dec 2008
    Mar 2006

Here is the page for Famitsu Xbox 360 on Play Asia:

    http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-14-71-ao-49-en.html

But I think they charge for shipping to Europe, so they may end up more expensive than $12.

  3. Seems that Famitsu PSP + PS3 is quarterly now, so don't know what charts they will publish in that. Famitsu Xbox and Famitsu DS + Wii still seem to be monthly thouh.

  4. OK.
Recently (this week) the japan website has updated his 360 list with number for sonic unleashed (we had no exact number for this game before, just a rounded number for the week one) and red faction guerilla (the last update was posted from famitsu 360 october 2009, and so we have now a better update).
So as i said you previously, where did he find these two new data?
Probably in weekly famistu. but i'm not sure.

What is terrible for me about this website is that he miss a lot of old data for 360, and he don't make the necessary things to find the old data he miss.
Famitsu 360 march 2006 is one of them but certainly, there is others data in old weekly famitsu. And he is not perfect, because he forget the update for resident evil 5 from famitsu 360 october 2009.

If you can obtain 360 charts from moor angol in exchange to the psp+ps3 charts, it's a good idea.
The first issue moor angol had is the one of september 2009.

But maybe, you can contact joshuajslone from garaph to ask him why he stop to post the 360 data since october 2008.

For the cost of the magazine.
It's clear that if we can be a lot to buy this magazines, it will be more cheaper for all of us.

For example, if moor angol, joshua, you, me and others buy respectively the issues of january, february, march , and april, we buy not all the issues, and we have all the data.
When i said others, i think to bttb on neogaf which give us the tops of october 2008. Certainly, he own the magazines, and maybe others.
On neogaf, they are a lot interesting by the famitsu numbers: donny2112, chris1964, captain smoker.
I'm sure, we are more than ten intersted be these numbers. So there is a mean to pay not a lot, and have all the data.

  5. About play asia (french version).
For me (french), it cost 8€ the issue of famitsu 360.
I don't see the price of shipping, but you are certainly right when you said that it can be expensive.

  6. The problem is that since September Famitsu Playstation has changed from being monthly to quarterly, so only four issues per year. The next issue comes out December 31, I'll order this, but don't know which charts, if any they will have in it. Hopefully they will publish 3 months worth of charts, but I'll have to wait and see.

Maybe I'll join Neogaf next week, but I think there is a bit of a wait until new members are admitted.

  7. Personally neogaf has never accept my account last year, but maybe you will have more chance than me.

Curious to see how the new top in ps famitsu are going to be.
