Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 becomes second highest selling game of all time in UK

According to Chart-Track Modern Warfare 2 has now passed Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to become the second highest selling game in the UK after Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training on DS. All three titles are somewhere north of 3m units.

Final Fantasy XIII topped the charts during week 10, sales split fairly evenly with PS3 taking 54% of unit sales to Xbox 360's 46%

Final Fantasy XIII wasn't the only Japanese game released last week, Yakuza 3 managed a respectable position of 23 in the individual formats chart. Way of the Samurai 3 failed to make the individual formats or all formats top 40, but did chart at #24 in the PS3 top 30, and #28 in the Xbox 360 top 40. Samurai Shodown Sen failed to make the Xbox 360 top 40. This week sees the release of BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger on PS3 and Xbox 360, with publisher Zen United targeting a top 3 place in both the PS3 and Xbox 360 charts.
